If you are arranging a vacation in Cambridgeshire this summer consider visiting a children’s farm park.Cambridgeshire is a beautiful place to visit in the UK and is one of the most popular places to take a trip to in the UK. Somewhere like the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences is a fantastic place to take your children. Here they’ll be able to learn alot about science.

Children love watching animals close up that they do not routinely get an opportunity to see, particularly if they routinely live in towns. There are a few of wonderful places that offer family entertainment based around farm or zoo animals in Cambridgeshire, here are merely a couple to visit.

The Scarewell Farm & Country Centre is based just outside Peterborough at Thornhaugh and has lots to keep families cheerful all day 24×7. There is a Shire pony centre which has 10 Shire horses that daily show off how they worked in the olden days on a farm and what they get up to in recent times, like pulling carriages for marriages or parades. There’s also an activity barn where youngsters can enjoy a big soft play area, ride around on play tractors, explore a play house or eat their picnic under cover if it rains. Outside there is a straw bale maze to get lost in, animal paddocks that house mules, goats and sheep, an out of doors play area with slides, swings and climbing frames and a pond with ducks and swans. There’s also a giant chicken run and a pig pen in the grounds to entertain all of the visitors.

After you have exhausted all of the animals you can peruse round the shop or have lunch at the picnic area or even in the cafe or cafe in site. Older youngsters will enjoy driving kart around a motorised track as well as checking out the cattle paddock and stables. It is a superb day out for all of the family.
